The Astonishing Sound Adventures of the Lobo Family

Tara-ta-zum is a sonic journey through sounds and stories from around the world. A family of wanderers, reminiscent of the exotic characters from Gabriel García Márquez’s masterpieces, brings back rare relics from their travels to share with the audience: rare, nearly extinct sounds, as well as those from other worlds and cultures.
Through intricate soundscapes, the three travelers open windows for listeners and spectators into distant and unknown worlds from all six continents.
Eccentric navigators, the three protagonists carry luggage that reveals pop-up sets, showcasing the dreamlike and poetic landscapes of the tales they tell.
The performance is designed to be staged in open spaces, but in conventional theater venues, the traditional spatial relationship between performers and audience will be altered and reimagined.
The scenic space is defined by a large carpet-map that, when unrolled on the ground, outlines the stage coordinates, serving both as a summary of the journey and as the stage itself.
The soundscape creates an acoustic scene that parallels the visual elements, immersing the audience in the adventure.
